Spiti valley lies in the north eastern part of Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti literally means “The Middle Land”. It is the land between Tibet and India.
Spiti valley has some of the most dangerous roads to ride on. It attracts many bikers for the sheer pleasure of riding in a difficult and challenging terrain. Getting lost in this rugged beauty is something else. No words can describe the raw beauty of this valley. And of course, riding alongside the untamed Sutlej river is something you will never forget.
Some of the popular destinations are chandratal lake (famous for trekking), Chitkul, Nako, Kaza, Tabo to name a few. World’s highest post office, Highest village connected by road are all situated in this beautiful valley. There are many monasteries as well in this region, Kye Gompa being the biggest one. Being in the Himalayan region, some places in this region are extremely cold with strong wind flow.
For us, Spiti is not just another destination. It is very close to our heart and gives a calming vibe wherever we go. The valley is full of fresh fruits and that is something we never miss.
